Woodford Reserve definitely agrees with this idea and so for two decades, they have been releasing special limited edition bottlings commemorating one of the biggest annual events in the horse racing world – the Kentucky Derby.

Announced in February of 2019, the Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby Edition 2019 celebrates 20 years of relationship between the distillery and the Churchill Downs racetrack. Made from a proprietary mash bill consisting of at least 51% corn, the bourbon is distilled using traditional copper pot stills before and aged in new, charred American oak casks before being finally packaged in collectible bottles featuring the artwork of one Keith Anderson which shows thoroughbreds galloping across the racetrack.
